We have over 125 years combined experience that include Risk Management, Accounting, Primary and Excess Workers’ Compensation underwriting, Insurance Brokering, Captive Formation and Management, and Actuary Analysis. Our expertise and strong customer focus provide us with a superior advantage that distinguishes PGCMS and a leader in the alternative marketplace.

Mr. John Worthing
Owner

John has over twenty-five years experience in commercial self-insurance. His introduction to self-insurance came in 1977 while working for a large Ford dealership in Michigan. He successfully established and managed his employer’s self-insured business through Ford Life. John was first involved in Nevada Self-Insurance in 1987 when the Nevada Franchised Auto Dealers Association was looking for a self-insured product for their dealers. When the Nevada Motor Transport Association wanted to establish groups for their Workers’ Compensation coverage, John was contacted to help develop the groups. He joined forces with Karen Sargeaunt to create Pro Group.

Ms. Karen Sargeaunt
Owner

Karen has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and is credited with the successful start-up of over 80 self-insured groups. Karen has successfully moved over one billion dollars in premium to alternative markets. She met John Worthing several years ago, and together they created this dynamic and professional management group.

Mr. Robert Vogel
Owner - Vice President of Operations

Robert has over 26 years broad public and private industry experience as a CPA, the last 14 years managing Self-Insured Groups in New Mexico and Nevada. Robert is responsible for running and overseeing the day-to-day operations of both Pro Group and Pro Group Captive Management Services and is the direct liaison with the Department of Insurance. He sits on the boards of the Nevada Captive Insurance Association, Nevada Self Insured Association, Self Insurance Institute of America Property and Casualty Committee, Commissioners (Nevada) Advisory Committee. Renea Louie
Director of Captive Management Services

Renea is the Director of Captive Management Services for Pro Group Captive Management Services. She has 20 years experience in senior management, marketing and administration. She is responsible for preparing clients for application to the Department of Insurance. Renea is a liaison between our third party providers and our captive clients, as well as managing client annual filings, and other account service needs. She provides support and coordinates the marketing efforts for the division. Renea works out of the Carson City office and can be reached at 775-283-4237.

Phyllis Zink
Controller/ Self Insurance Section and Captive Insurance Companies

Phyllis serves as Controller for both the Self Insurance Section and Captive Insurance Companies. She is responsible for the accounting functions of the Self Insurance Section managed by Pro Group and the many Captive Insurance companies managed by Pro Group Captive Management Services. Phyllis has over 25 years experience in all aspects of accounting. Before joining Pro Group in March 2001, she was an accountant in a variety of industries including newspapers, vocational rehabilitation and retail. Phyllis can be reached at our Carson City office.

Tanya Olson
Executive Secretary

Tanya brings to Pro Group over 28 years of experience in the Executive Secretarial field with schooling focused on Business Office education. She is the Executive Secretary to the Vice President. Duties include the daily functions to take care of an Executive, as well as, the coordinating of Board Meetings and the taking of all Board Meeting Minutes. She assists the Vice President in his duties relating to both Pro Group and Pro Group Captive Management Services. Tanya can be reached in the Carson City office.
